Bad Weather, Perfect Day

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Have you ever had such an experience: Have a trip planed for over one month, get everything done and just about to start off, but the bad weather ruined your perfect plan. Your dreamed, romantic, beautiful journey is ruined by such a bad weather, do you really feel gloomy? Never let the bad weather stop your steps, you have the rights of enjoying the perfect weekend. Why not try the UGG boots when you meet with bad weather? Its water proof materials can always make your journey amazing.

I am a traveling lover. My figure appears in almost every corner of the world, Norwegian fjords, Alps, Aegean, the Arctic, Hokkaido, etc, I left my memories everywhere. But your plan can not always meet a good weather, especially in Nordic countries and the torrid zone, the weather may change in a few word’s time. Many times I felt really sad because the time is limited so that we can not just stay at the hotels.

Everything changed when the first time I went to Australia. It was a sunny afternoon, I, together with two Australian friends, went to a small mountain just near the Queen’s Land. This mountain was not high but on the peak of that you could see the whole sight of the plate area. But the weather changed when we were climbing half way. It rained! Not long after it began, my boots were full of water. I was sad because I were dreaming of this beautiful day for nearly several weeks. But all these were ruined. It was not very common in Australia to see the weather changing in such a short time. So once you had such a bad luck, you could feel really depressed.
“Hey, come on guy, what’s up?” My friend asked.

“My boots were wet, on my god.” I claimed, “Can it be worse?”

“Oh, you should get ready for that earlier.”

“Yes, but I didn’t think…”

“Why not try UGG boots, we come out with UGG boots every time so we never afraid of water!”

UGG. It is a very famous shoes brand in Australia, many of my friends, who are also very fond of hiking choose UGG as their partner. I heard about it but never tried. After then on, I always choose UGG whenever the weather is bad or not. UGG can always give me a strong feeling that I can enjoy every minute despite the weather is good or not. Many young friends say I am I am great of fashion and I know I just like comfortable and good performance. But look at them carefully; they are really beautiful, aren’t they?

Just enjoy it! Enjoy the bad weather, perfect day!

Fashion-conscious fans love Bachelorette Jillian Harris’s easily elegant picks

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Jillian Harris is as open about her closet as she is about her love life, which is broadcast Mondays on The Bachelorette.

“I love to mix and match,” she said, when asked about her fashion sense

The single Vancouverite says that in addition to Aritzia — where she sourced most of her wardrobe for last Monday’s Whistler episode — she likes brands like Billabong, Superstore’s Joe Fresh line, RW&Co., Alice + Olivia and tailored vintage pieces.

“I really love a style that has a fashion-forward approach…,” says Harris.

The result of her tastes, and no doubt a helpful stylist, is a look that seems effortlessly put together in a practical but feminine way.

For instance, filming in chilly Whistler, she favoured snuggly clothing with a rugged flair, but managed to keep things trendy.

“I (wore) a lot of leggings. A lot of plaid button-ups, a lot of hoodies,” she says, adding she also wore Ugg boots and warm jackets.

Harris says that in her daily life, she likes to mix up proportions — if something is tight on the bottom, she’ll pair it with something loose on top, and vice versa. The petite brunette can also work a more glamorous look with bold accessories, including bangles by Stella & Dot.

“She was introduced to the vintage, modern line through a friend, and she’s been a fan ever since,” says Vancouver Stella & Dot stylist Tanis Tsisserev.

Harris has worn something from the brand in almost every episode so far, Tsisserev says, including a pair of $43 earrings on her Vancouver date with California cutie Kiptyn.

“The reaction has been phenomenal,” says Tsisserev, of the Harris effect. She calls it ‘Bachelorette fever.’”

Aritzia spokeswoman Zora Huculak echoes this fact, pointing out that fashion-conscious fans in both Canada and the U.S. love Harris’s picks.

After the bachelorette flirted in Aritzia’s Vancouver 2010 Olympic hoodie during a curling segment, demand for the sporty item spiked.

“It was a top-selling item over the weekend with sales coming in from all over North America, including New York, Chicago and San Diego,” Huculak says of the limited-edition item.

So it seems we’re not the only ones more concerned about what the plucky singleton will be wearing than who will be eliminated next.

Now if only Harris can pick men the way she can pick an outfit.

How to Maintain Your Ugg Boots

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Every Ugg boots or footwear item is manufactured to meet the highest possible standards. Ugg boot quality is a result of a long history of dedication, workmanship and attention to details. Therefore, any upkeep for the attractiveness and life of Ugg Shoes-Australia boots is well worth it. Fortunately, retaining the new look of Ugg-Australian boots is not complicated or even difficult. With a little easy care, they will continue to offer the comfort, durability, and luxury for which Ugg footwear is known.

First, it’s important to decide when and where to wear Ugg-Australian boots. Even though they are most often relied upon in winter months to insulate feet against the cold (they’re assured for up to 30 degrees below zero), they are not meant to be snow shoes. Furthermore, although they are also worn by surfers to keep their feet warm between catching waves, they should not be used for wading through those waves. In fact, Ugg boots should not be worn be in any other wet conditions, including mud, rain, ice or slush. To prevent unexpected weather from damaging Ugg footwear, it’s wise to apply water repellent thoroughly as often as instructed. Doing so will seal the sheepskin from dirt and discoloration as well. The best product for this is Ugg Australia Sheepskin Water and Stain Repellent. Unfortunately, discolorations from, or caused by, another protective product may void Ugg Shoes-Australia’s one year warranty.

The first maintenance step is to brush the Uggs with a wire, suede or nubuck brush-in one direction only. If done regularly, this will prevent any dirt or dust from settling among the suede fibers and reduce the potential damage from embedded debris. However, sooner or later, Uggs need to be cleaned in either certain areas or overall. A quality stain eraser can be used to reduce any stains prior to cleaning.

Even though Uggs should not be worn through wet conditions, a little water can be used to cleanse them. However, Ugg-Australia boots should never be put into a washing machine, or cleaned with hot water, since both can cause permanent damage. To clean Ugg-Australian boots by hand, first dampen the boot or specific boot area with a soft sponge, brush, or cloth. Then, dip that same applicator into a small amount of diluted cleaner and rub gently. (Do not drip it directly from the bottle onto the boot.) Remember that any roughness or abrasion may harm the boot surface. The best product to use for the actual cleaning is Ugg Australia Sheepskin Cleaner and Conditioner, which contains natural jojoba and coconut oils. This is known to be safe when used on Uggs. Otherwise, the owner takes a chance with cleaners that may be good for wool or suede, but not necessarily beneficial for sheepskin. If this process does not remove a particular mark, it may be caused by high oil content in the stain. Such stains may be lessened by the application of white chalk or a fine powder and then rubbed again.

Rinse the cleaner off with a little clean water. If the entire boot has been treated, any excess wetness may be squeezed out. Ugg boots should never be stretched to remove water. To retain their proper shape while drying, Ugg Shoes-Australia footwear should be stuffed with paper towels or newspaper. They should then be allowed to air-dry naturally in a warm area, but not in the path of direct heating or sunlight. After they are completely dry, the Uggs (or the places that have been cleaned) should be re-brushed, again in just one direction. Shaking a little baking soda or shoe deodorizer into the boots will eliminate past foot odor and prevent against future smells. The size of the Ugg boot may appear to shrink slightly after drying, but will regain its original fit after being worn a few times.

It’s also worthwhile to remember that, with darker colored Uggs, some dye may lift off during the first few wearings and washings. This is just excess coloring and does not mean that the boots will continue to fade or lose all color. (Plus, like all natural fabrics, it’s normal for sheepskin to contain irregularities in color and variations in textures, and does not indicate defects in manufacturing.) Finally, storing Uggs in a dry place between wearings will allow them to air out so that they are fresh for the next wearing.

By following these tips, Ugg Shoes-Australia boot owners can rely on outstanding comfort, luxury and dependability for the life of the boots, which will probably be a very long time!
